WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

FREQUENCY

Since WBV is based on the triggering or activating of the involuntary muscle strength reflex, it is imperative that the frequency of vibration be correct.  For the optimal training effect, VibraFlex® allows for choice in frequency ranging between 5 to 30 Hz.  Lower frequencies are used for acclimation to the device, for balance and proprioception, while 25-27 Hz is optimal for muscle activation.

PATTERN

Hans Scheissl, founder of VibraFlex®, realized that while vertical vibrational force was necessary, it should not be applied to both limbs at the same time, which produces a discomforting shaking to the head and eyes.

He instead patented the functional cross-over pattern found in basic motions such as running or walking. The Vibraflex® platform vibrates in a unidirectional, oscillating pattern - similar to a teeter-totter. This pattern results in an improved affect on the pelvis and allows the head and eyes to stabilize - providing a more comfortable experience.

When purchasing a WBV system, consider the affects of vibration on the unit itself and if poorly constructed, problems can arise. To ensure problem free operation, compare the mass of hull, loading capacity, and weight of the device, all indicators of quality and solid construction. GROUNDED IN SCIENCE

The VibraFlex® Series was designed based on the internationally patented Galileo® technology established in the medical field. This patented technology has been used for the majority of the original research done in the field of whole body vibration training. Others may quote the vibration literature however, results from one system cannot be implied to another since the parameters of vibration can differ. When examining the literature, ensure the research has been conducted on the system under evaluation.
